We like this tool because it is the only program in this list that is centered around providing detail regarding the security of the computer. This program can also view a list of running processes and current network connections, active and disabled drivers, and a list of important registry entries and system files. More advanced details include things like environment variables, installed software, hotfixes, and an event log. Results can be filtered to show information based on a risk level between one and nine. You can find basic information like available memory, system uptime, and the local time. It also says my Intel Graphics were also unknown !Īny info on a suitable easy to use programme to "Speccy" would be welcome.Isn't built to show as much info as similar toolsĮSET SysInspector is dead simple to use because of its search utility and well-organized interface. Speccy says I have an SSD but further info "unknown", probably because its a three letter word drive "svd" or something similar. I thought drives roughly went IDE, Sata Sata SSD !

I have in the past tried "Winaudit" but this at first glance doesn't seem to have been updated in several years. I know i could just go to the manufacturers site to get some of the info but would prefer a freeware programme like "Speccy" that gives a report. I now have a new computer and would like to get the same information but Speccy gives me "unknown" comments for various things. The programme has not been updated in over 3 years but it did not affect me as my computers were older etc.

Until my recent purchase, my laptops were all approx 8-10 years old and I used "Speccy" to produce an inventory.
